Schatten Design Piano Pickups and Soundboard  Product Code  Description SDP2 Schatten Piano Pickup Schatten P-2 Dual Element Piano Pickup System We've taking our incredibly responsive "dual element system" and applied it to our piano pickup to give you unsurpassed response and faithful, natural sound quality. What our "dual element system" means: Each transducer unit contains 2 separate piezos working in tandem to enhance sound quality and reduce the possibility of feedback. The P2 Pickup System has been designed to work with either upright or grand pianos. The sensors mount quickly and easily to the exterior of the soundboard surface with supplied double sided tape. Each transducer is prewired to a 10 foot shielded Mogami cable with a quality 1/4" plug for stereo configurations. For Mono applications, a 1/4" 'Y' adapter is included. This pickup has been designed to operate properly and sound terrific without the use of a preamp when plugged into any 'normal' amp (guitar amp, bass amp, etc.). If you require the added ability to be able to plug directly into a P.A. or mixer then you may wish to add one of our outboard Preamp/DI units to your pickup system. Schatten NEW "Dualie" Dual Element Soundboard Pickup Available In Two Models - One for Inside Mounting, One for Outside Mounting The Dualie has been upgraded and redesigned! * More Responsive * Higher Output * Lower Profile * Lighter * New More Attractive Appearance When we first debuted the original "Dualie" pickup approximately ten years ago, it was designed to be used on acoustic and classical guitars.......And then a funny thing happened: musicians discovered that they could stick the Dualie onto just about anything and that it worked and sounded great. Basically, if you have an acoustic instrument with a soundboard, then the Dualie will work well on it. The "Dualie" is a twin element surface mount piezo pickup. It is approximately 3/8" thick, 1 inch wide, and 2 inches long....a little bit smaller than the size of what used to be a 10 cent box of wooden matches. This pickup has been designed to operate properly and sound terrific without the use of a preamp if you are running into any 'normal' amp (guitar amp, bass amp, etc.). Through the use of twin piezo elements we have been able to greatly enhance this pickups' resistance to feedback, particularly when compared to other surface mount transducer pickups. It is light in weight (a couple of ounces), and does not inhibit top movement or vibration. Each pickup is hand built and tested in our workshop to ensure good sound. As well, each pickup is warranted for a period of two years from date of purchase to the original purchaser SDDI Schatten Dualie Inside Pickup The Dualie Inside'R comes prewired to a take-apart endpin jack. All that needs to be done is to drill a hole in the end block to push the jack through. The endpin jack tightens securely from the outside and provides secure attachment for your strap. For inside installation, the Dualie comes with a special high stick putty that will keep the pickup in place without any difficulty for years. SDDO Schatten Dualie Outside Pickup The Dualie Outside'R may be used on any small to medium sized soundboard such as on a steel string 6 or 12 and on any classical. The pickup attaches quickly and easily with our special supplied low residue putty for outside mounting. The Dualie Outside'R comes complete with a 10 foot Mogami shielded cable and a standard 1/4"heavy duty output plug and is ready to plug right into your amp. SDEP01 Schatten Economy Piezo Schatten EP-01 Utility Transducer An inexpensive, yet mighty little soundboard transducer The EP-01 is a small, light weight piezo sensor that is meant for one time installation on an instrument's soundboard. The pickup comes with 18" of shielded cable and is not supplied with an output jack (due to the 'utility' nature of this unit). Since this unit is meant primarily for protected interior installations, the piezo element is not 'potted', but is instead covered with an acoustic foam pad. Due to the nature of the piezo and the fact that it is not a 'potted' unit, this pickup has great output and full response. No preamp is required. This pickup is not suggested for stage use.
